VERTEX READINESS · EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 24, 2026

Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-24.v2. These terms govern the current Vertex Readiness web app and beta access. Vertex Readiness is provided under the Vertex Fire Protection and Safety brand. The operator is Michael E. Aldaco. For questions, contact support@vertexreadiness.com.

1. Purpose and permitted use

Vertex Readiness is an organizational, owner-observation, and recordkeeping tool. The app, its forms, reminders, reports, and other content do not constitute professional engineering, architectural, or official trade advice. They do not replace licensed or qualified professional services, an official inspection, or directions from the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Use the app only for lawful facility organization and recordkeeping. You must be authorized to enter, upload, and use the information in your workspace. Do not attempt to access another user's data, bypass access controls, misuse the service, or represent its output as an official approval or certification.

IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY NOTICE

2. Compliance timelines and failed reminders

The business owner is ultimately responsible for identifying, independently verifying, tracking, and meeting all applicable inspection, testing, maintenance, permit, renewal, and other compliance deadlines. Automated reminders are a convenience only and do not transfer that responsibility to Vertex Readiness. A missed, delayed, inaccurate, or undelivered reminder does not extend a deadline or excuse noncompliance.

Reminder delivery is not guaranteed. Notifications may fail, arrive late, or be unavailable because of incorrect dates or contact information, timezone settings, spam filtering, device permissions, connectivity, third-party service failures, outages, or other errors. Confirm the schedule with the AHJ or qualified provider, maintain an independent calendar or other backup, and arrange required work without waiting for an alert.

You are responsible for keeping facility schedules, contact details, delivery preferences, and timezone settings accurate; confirming that any required inspection, testing, maintenance, permit renewal, or other action is actually completed; and independently retaining evidence of completion. Saving a reminder, importing a calendar event, or receiving an alert does not establish compliance or confirm completion of required work.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the app's owner, operator, and developers disclaim liability for missed deadlines, late or missed inspections, penalties, enforcement actions, or other losses arising from a failed, delayed, inaccurate, or undelivered reminder. This does not exclude or limit rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Only configured and enabled delivery channels operate. Selected-time email reminders require a configured and active scheduler. SMS is not currently active. Calendar copies do not automatically synchronize with later app changes. Never wait for an app alert or support response in an emergency.

3. Accounts and your records

Protect your sign-in and use only your own authorized workspace. Each sign-in owns its workspace; shared employee access is not currently available. You remain responsible for your entries, uploaded content, and independent record-retention requirements. Follow AHJ directions, applicable requirements, and qualified or licensed professional advice.

The Privacy Policy explains data handling, retention, and access/correction/deletion requests. Account deletion is available in Account & access and is separate from cancelling a subscription.

4. Plans, beta access, and purchases

Real payments are not enabled. Beta access does not create a paid license. Planned Basic pricing is $0.99 one time per facility; Plus is an optional recurring subscription at $12/month or $120/year per facility. Existing pilot access remains available. Sandbox checkouts are for testing only and must not be treated as real purchases.

Final purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund information will be presented before real payments are enabled. The downloadable toolkit is licensed separately. These terms do not make the draft toolkit license a final commercial agreement.

5. Availability and inspection outcomes

The beta may change or be temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, reminder delivery, data accuracy, safety, code compliance, or any inspection result. Independently verify requirements and keep copies of records you need outside the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the app's owner, operator, and developers assume no liability for real-world inspection outcomes, missed hazards, code violations, enforcement actions, or losses arising from use of or reliance on the app. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The purchase and use disclaimer provides the same professional-advice, reminder, and inspection-outcome limitations in one place.

6. Changes and questions

Changes will be reflected on this page with a new version or effective date and communicated when required. Material changes requiring agreement will be presented for acknowledgment before a new checkout. These terms do not claim to override rights or obligations that cannot be changed by contract.

Contact customer support before purchasing if you have questions about these limitations.
